Cancelled due to Covid 19 city closure
Class meets 9:00 am to Noon, Monday mornings for 6 weeks.
OGMS instructor Jean pSmith leads this class. Adults, 18 years and older only.
Please note, Class is full at 5, registration will close when that number is reached.
COVID 19 specific information: ALL class attendees must provide current proof of full vaccination (incl. booster) and will be required to bring & wear properly, an N95 rated mask during class.
Attendees will be scanned for temperature upon arrival, and will be expected to remove themselves from attendance if they have an elevated temperature, become ill, or are exposed to Covid 19.
Attendees are welcome to return if they provide
A) a negative test result by a professional antigen (Ag) or PCR/NAAT COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2 test or
B) by TeleHealth verified antigen (Ag) or PCR/NAAT COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2 home testing.
There will be no exceptions for deviation from these requirements.

This class will explore various fabrication, stone setting and design techniques specified in the title & class description. When there is no specified technique, this class defaults to workshop time where attendees can work on and get help with their projects. This is NOT a beginners class.
Students are encouraged to bring their own equipment and source their own materials- all personal items should be clearly marked.

Classes are conducted by volunteer members of the Oxnard Gem & Mineral Society, under the the auspices of the City of Oxnard, Dept. of Recreation.
